For years, I used to drive past these brightly painted yellow buildings (better known as the former Broad Top City Railroad Station) and I've always wanted to photograph at them. But for those years, I've held off on adding them to my location list because I knew I wanted to wait for my sister Allee's senior year to take some of her photos here because the spot is so unique. It's not quite her senior year yet, but we both currently have extra free time at home and plenty of ideas we would like to do, so we decided to start early. I know it's been cloudy and rainy outside for a few days, so enjoy some yellow vibes. 🌞

The former Broad Top City Railroad Station, which has been relocated to Dudley, also has an old ALCO 0-4-0 locomotive switcher that dates back to 1922. Once the locomotive was retired from service hauling slag from the steel plants in Pittsburgh, it was sold to Hammermill Paper, and then later sold to Sloan Cornell who would go on to create the former Penn View Mountain Railroad, which was once in Blairsville, PA.
